The Challenge
For decades, Atlantic Canada's film and television industry was largely viewed as a destination for smaller indie projects or regional documentaries. Establishing a permanent, high-capacity pipeline for major, multi-million-dollar scripted dramatic series required an immense leap in local infrastructure, crew training, and economic development. When the opportunity arose to bring the gripping scripted series Revival to life, the challenge was twofold: the production needed to meet the ruthless, elite standards of international broadcasters, while simultaneously serving as a developmental engine to train local New Brunswick crew members, scale regional supply chains, and prove to global studios that the province can comfortably anchor premium, long-form dramatic television.
Our Approach
We stepped up as the official co-producers and co-owners of the series alongside the internationally renowned team at Blue Ice Pictures.
High-Tier Co-Production & Ownership: We co-architected the business, financing, and production frameworks for the series, bringing our signature grit and operational excellence to a massive network budget.
Developing the New Brunswick Film Industry: We strategically utilized the production as a massive workforce development initiative for the province.
By hiring local camera operators, lighting techs, art directors, and production coordinators to work alongside veteran international showrunners, we directly injected millions into the local economy and dramatically upskilled New Brunswick's film ecosystem.
Executing Premium Scripted Visuals: Our teams ensured the show maintained a stunning, cinematic aesthetic from pilot to finale, delivering an incredibly polished, atmospheric final cut capable of competing on the global streaming and broadcast stage.
This is one of the first times, certainly in a long time, that New Brunswick will be captured for a global audience in a show like this,” says Hemmings.
