The Challenge

As a brand-new, Saint John-based cleantech startup, Victory Advanced Technologies faced a dual-front marketing challenge. They were designing and manufacturing highly complex, rugged electric motors and powertrains under one roof, utilizing novel architectures to decarbonize industrial and heavy-duty transport markets. To establish immediate industry credibility and drive B2B sales, they needed a high-impact corporate video to take to global trade shows and pitch to investors. However, as an early-stage startup navigating the high-stakes, chaotic realities of engineering prototype motors during pandemic supply chain disruptions, they also possessed an incredibly compelling human story that generic B2B marketing could never fully capture.

Our Approach

We realized that Victory didn’t just need a single corporate video; they needed a comprehensive storytelling ecosystem. We engineered a dual-delivery production strategy that maximized their access and budget:

The High-Impact Corporate Asset: We captured cinema-quality footage of their vertically integrated design facility, highlighting their CNC machining, custom coil winding, and digital twin simulation environments. This was compiled into a sleek, high-energy trade show video that simplified their advanced engineering concepts into an undeniably powerful sales pitch.

The "Victory Garage" Broadcast Docuseries: Simultaneously, we leveraged our deep roots in creative documentary storytelling to pivot the raw footage of their first year into a 5-episode television series for Bell Fibe TV1. Titled Victory Garage, the series pulled back the curtain on the startup's founders as they combated deadlines, engineering setbacks, and raw technical friction to build their first operational, full-scale electric motor prototypes from scratch.

Atlantic Canadians have always been known for their entrepreneurial spirit, big ideas and bold vision. When we invest in game-changing projects like Victory Advanced Technologies, we’re helping businesses seize opportunities and create good paying jobs, all while making a positive impact in the fight against climate change – and that’s a win for all Canadians.”

The Impact

By capturing Victory's corporate operations through a creative, documentary-style lens, we delivered unparalleled value. The B2B marketing assets gave the sales team a premium visual tool that successfully validated their technology, explained their technical specs, and established brand presence at major trade shows. Meanwhile, the national television release of Victory Garage on Bell TV1 gave the company massive public visibility, amplified their mission of regional innovation, and humanized their tech brand. This unique dual approach saved the client massive production resources while building deep, long-term brand equity across both industrial sectors and consumer audiences.
